HCA 460 – Health Care Ethics

COURSE OVERVIEW: This is a course designed to examine critically the central ethical issues in contemporary healthcare. The basic theory, methods and principles will be discussed and specific issues will be examined via the topical articles in the texts. At the end of the course you will be able to utilize the fundamentals of bioethical decision making as well as understanding key issues and areas of discussion and debate facing contemporary healthcare ethics.

TIME FRAME: This is a 4 semester hour course to be completed over a period of 15 weeks. All requirements of the course must be completed by the end of 15 weeks. The time frame will commence when you notify me via e-mail that your texts have arrived and you are ready to begin your course work.
