This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the field of public health, focusing on its history, core principles, and the role of public health in promoting population health. Through a combination of lectures, discussions, and assignments, students will gain a solid foundation in the fundamental concepts and practices of public health.
This course provides an in-depth study of the distribution and determinants of
health related states or events in populations, along with the application of
epidemiological methods in public health research and practice. Students will
gain a comprehensive understanding of the principles, concepts, and
techniques used in epidemiology and develop critical thinking skills to evaluate and interpret epidemiological data
This course provides an introduction to statistical methods used in public health research, focusing on data analysis, study design, and interpretation of health-related data. Students will develop a solid foundation in biostatistical concepts and techniques and gain practical skills to analyze and interpret data commonly encountered in public health research.
This course provides an in-depth analysis of healthcare policy development,
healthcare systems, health services management, and the role of policy in shaping public health practice. Through a combination of lectures, discussions,
and assignments, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex interplay between policy and public health, and develop skills in policy analysis and management.
This course examines the ethical considerations and legal frameworks that
guide public health practice. Topics covered include human subjects research,
health equity, and public health policy ethics. Through a combination of
readings, discussions, and assignments, students will develop a comprehensive
understanding of the ethical and legal dimensions of public health.
This course focuses on the study of effective communication strategies in public
health, health literacy, health education program planning, and the use of
media for health promotion. Students will explore various theories and models
of health communication and develop skills in designing and implementing
health education programs. The course will also examine the role of media in
shaping health behaviors and public health messaging.
This course provides an introduction to program planning models,
implementation strategies, and evaluation methods used in public health
programs and interventions. Students will explore the foundational concepts
and principles of program planning, learn how to develop effective program
plans, and understand the importance of evaluation in assessing program
effectiveness. Through a combination of readings, discussions, and
assignments, students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to
design and evaluate public health programs.

The Capstone Project in Public Health is the culminating course in the Master’s
program, designed to provide students with an opportunity to apply the
knowledge and skills acquired throughout their coursework. In this course,
students will develop and implement a comprehensive public health project
that addresses a specific health issue or challenge. Through this hands-on
experience, students will gain practical skills in project planning,
implementation, evaluation, and presentation.
